The goal of the Next Gen Sequencing series, is to engage in an open forum discussion/sharing of ongoing efforts with respect to the use of bioinformatic tools and techniques. In doing so, we would like to facilitate the exchange of information in a way that will assist others in understanding data processing techniques, and which will help identify ways in which we can better provide bioinformatics tools and resources to researchers and students.
Specific topics of discussion will be formalized at a later date, and an announcement will be issued prior to each of the scheduled talks above. We encourage anyone interested in sharing their knowledge and experience in the use of Bioinformatics tools and data processing techniques to attend. The Next Gen Sequencing discussion series also represents an excellent opportunity to learn how to incorporate bioinformatics into your research, and to contribute to the discussion of what resources you would like to see made available to assist the MSU research community.
